    big country/contiuum

Ok maybe this isn't the right area to post, but Big Country appears in the Live at the Quick video, and that is one of my favorites!  It is 3 am where I'm from, and I'm sitting with my fretless johnson pbass (funny I know, my dad and i took the frets out after I upgraded awhile ago) and for the last hour I've been listening to the song Big Country from the the flecktones' album Left of the Cool.  I've always loved Big Country and I figured I should try to figure out the amazing solo vic plays.  After he plays his trading duet part with Jeff, something very cool happens.  Vic starts bustin out some nice harmonic chords and keeps playing the beautiful figures from before.  But it wasn't until I figured it out on my bass that I realized he is playing the exact opening line to continuum! Figure it out for yourself, I know I'm not crazy!  It isn't the same rhythms, but almost every note is the same.  Do you guys agree with me here?? I think Vic was having some fun and slipped this great Jaco quote into the song trying to see who would catch it.  It took me a very long time because it fits so perfectly.  Maybe I'm just crazy cause it is 3 AM, but check it out!!  It happens at 3:13 in the song.  Once he plays the harmonics at the 9th fret, he hits two open E's and then plays Ab Gb B Db and repeats the E's, harmonics and such.  Just like Contiuum!

That is correct John, Vic is quoting Jaco's line.
